On 24 August 2021, the British Government decided to postpone the date of entry into force of the compulsory UKCA marking to 1 January 2023, giving companies another year to adapt to British regulations compared to the initial indications.

UKCA (UK Conformity Assessed) is the marking introduced to replace the CE marking following Brexit, which will be required in order to market various types of products in England, Wales and Scotland.

CE marking will be accepted in the UK until the end of 2022 (31/12/2022), provided of course that EU legislation does not change during this transitional period (i.e. provided that legislation remains "aligned").
For medical devices, for now, the expiry date of the transition period remains unchanged and set at 30 June 2023.
